Dust and Pebbles

Take this pebble from your shoe,
Place it far away from you;
The dust you gather on the road
Can trip you with your heavy load.
Don't let fears and tedious cares
Make the journey worse for wear..
Choose to drop those hopeless dreams
that always drag you to your knees.
When you're down, please, look above,
Smile, and know that you are loved.
And, as a final rule of thumb,
Don't forget how far you've come!
