in the key of my heart
may it carry it's tune
to the ends of the earth --

-- If someday,
I should ever turn bitter;
forgetting to sing,
Let this song
help me learn
to be fearless
and free.

Let it help me remember
that once, long ago,
I had opened my heart
and my life....

my foundation is singing --

this song of my life;

let me live...

I hear a lullaby 

so I'll open my eyes

and my ears and my heart

just to know what it sings--

--even though 

it may simply be trying

to put me to sleep,

let me rest...

on this dark

restless night.
