Change

I know that there are few second chances
But with you I feel a new change of heart
And I watch as the perimeter advances
So that we can walk together not apart
Over the years you’ve helped me yearn
To seek what’s better and be willing to work
Now I see the constant change that overcomes
me
And it separates my old heart from the murk
So I hope you know just as you’ve cared
That you’ve performed a miracle here
For I am new and clean and strong
The friend I've found in you remains sincere.
