Color Poems!

Gray
A dim twinkling of light
Sneaking past shuttered window
My eyes are still closed, but I see the fresh gray.
Feeling sick from the fall,
But the black’s fading quickly,
And slowly gray hands help me find a new way.
On a swing in the autumn;
Frozen in time.
In the air,
In suspense, hanging up in swift flight.
Shallow clouds, empty rain,
Walking slowly forever;
But never
Forgetting I’m going somewhere.
Black
Abrupt plunge through some darkness
And feeling the edge
Of the walls, for a touch of unseen reality.
A shadow of the past
Following me,
As I blindly seek some way out of the unknown.
Black ink on paper,
Staining mistakes with its abstract silhouette…
Maybe black cannot be erased.
Hot Pink
Sweet, spicy,
Awake,
Standing boldly alone.
Its own individual of loud, brilliant resonance.
The brightest of colors,
With a tangy aftertaste.
Anything hot pink is not to be forgotten!
Sugar Orange
Sharp to behold
And smooth to touch;
Its bittersweet surface
May be somewhat deceiving.
A rusted combination
Of yellow and red,
With a touch of polish
To make a sparkly shine.
Whatever you do,
Do not ever hesitate
To make the most
Of what this bright sugar
Has to offer.
