Add some color

Make a rainbow.

Pen and ink

Printed paper

Turns to art.

Unreached goals

And sparks of hope

Compose a dreamer.

While facing trials

And simple faith
Both share one heart.

Salted wounds

Then healing scars

Are lessons learned.

Songs unsung

But written down

Make goals to reach.

Stars that shine

Too high to grasp

Are heaven’s reminders,

That in every sense

Life in itself

Is bittersweet.
